It was during this stretch that I decided to zoom ahead to take pictures of the group as they came by. I would pass the group and zoom ahead, pull over, take pictures, then catch up with the group again. It was during one of these zoom periods as I was cresting a ridge that I though I had my first ticket. I was doing 90 mph in a 45 mph zone when I saw the Sheriff’s SUV parked on the left side of the road. I hit the brakes and prayed to the speed gods. As I cruised by I notice the person behind the wheel isn’t moving.
